This is as good a place as any to bury a comment so my head doesn't explode.
Good freaking grief. I'm so SICK of ethnocentrism in this blasted country.
A person should be able to live in the US without having other peoples' political notions regularly shoved down their throat. Seriously.
We have become so stupid, so indoctrinated, that we're forwarding other peoples' emailed messages that supposedly 'represent' our own views and, frankly, the people forwarding them haven't got a clue. Not one clue!!! They don't even confirm if what they are passing along is accurate. It's completely stupid. Reactionary. With not one shred of research. Flipping amazing. They don't even bother to check first!
And I'm REALLY flummoxed by the notion that people actually ASSume that sending a message to a large, varied group of folks will be perfectly alright. As if we all think the same way, have the same opinions, what on earth?!?!?!
I've had it. I'm sick of it.
And if you openly copy me, guess what. I'll openly copy you in response. To every single person you included in your outing of my email address. Not only do you ASSume that I'll agree with your narrow little selfish ideas, but you have the nerve to share my email address with other people I don't know.
We were friends in high school. 20 years ago. So, naturally, I too am going to be perfectly fine with you passing hatred along to a buttload of people. Yeah. Sure. That makes sense. USA=good! Rest of the world=bad! American flag=sacred! Human rights=someone else's problem! Yeah. Got it.
For all you people out there who blindly do what you're told... you disgust me; pull your head out. For every soul who signed up for a branch of the military because A) it was a step up from smalltown, USA, B) it fulfilled some martyr complex you've been nursing for 20 plus years, C) they were the only corporation hiring, D) it got you out of jail time, E) the college benefits are too good to pass up, F) your dad was in the ____ too, or G) you've somehow managed to delude yourself that you are doing something noble for king, err, president and country, (fill in the blank as it fits), I say wake up. The ONLY war EVER fought to protect our borders was the War of Independence. That's right. The ONLY. All you 9/11 sycophants let that sink in for a moment and don't you dare bother responding unless you've done your homework. And Fox news doesn't count.
Good grief. Ignorance. I'm so sick of the ignorance.
Piss off.

the only emails i receive lately, are mass emails trying to sell me; weight loss pills, 'male enhancement' pills, and.. 'toys'.. i'm outraged the only people trying to contact me think i'm a fat pervert :)

*giggle* I used to get those too, Nate. I was amazed at the sheer number of offers I received to enlarge something I don't have! I've patched things up with the sender of the email. She's a really nice lady, but I think people often don't think through what they are doing; autopilot. She has since assumed I am a Democrat and asked if she should steer clear of Obama jokes, to which I replied, 'Both sides are a waste of my time.' America is a funny place. Maybe I should move closer to where you are, although I hear it's not that different up there. Doing well, Nate. Give that baby a big hug. Mine are merging into adults and I'm really not sure where all the time went! -L.
